The number of new RV parks in the Eagle Ford shale oil boom area is increasing by the day. For oilfield workers moving to South Texas, housing is in very short supply. This is because many new oilfield service companies, such as Baker Hughes. Schlumberger and Weatherford are moving into the area, and bringing with them, or hiring locally, thousands of workers. If you are headed to the Eagle Ford shale to find an oilfield job, chances are you will be living in an RV park for a while until more apartments are built.

Here are some RV parks near the heart of the Eagle Ford shale drilling activity.

Eagle Ford Shale Area RV Parks Near Three Rivers

A number of new RV parks have sprung up around Three Rivers and along IH-37, mostly to cater to the influx of Eagle Ford shale oilfield workers. Most are not even in the phone book yet. Note: If you Google "Three Rivers RV Parks", one by that name comes up and it is located over 100 miles away, on Lake Amistad, so be careful when making reservations!
